This weekend we were yet again blessed with a mini-Indian summer, despite it being well into the second week of September. With temperatures soaring up to 27C in London, it was time for one last barbecue. There was no better opportunity to try out the Aberdeen Angus burgers from my Dunwood Farm meat box.
On a mini disposable BBQ (£3 from Costcutter) we grilled long sweet red peppers, halved lengthways, and the burgers for about 20 minutes. They were delicious, juicy, well hung and possibly marbled with bone marrow (am I making that up?). They were served in large floury baps, with a beetroot and apple relish, salad and a tall glass of iced cider. Cheers, and bring on autumn!

Love the burgers, great with marrow in (real or imaginary), though why not keep bbqing, autmn bbq food tastes so good, just wrap up!
cheers

I do hate the cold, maybe I should try a wintery BBQ this year though!
nothing like a warming chilli cooked over woodsmoke to keep out the cold
Cheers
Marcus
Jenny, I’m ashamed to admit that I didn’t have one single bbq! I don’t know why… I didn’t even eat a burger this summer! Well, except one veggie burger… Your meat looks most enticing…
Nick!! That’s unforgiveable… but how about a winter BBQ as Marcus suggests
Haha – perhaps… perhaps… it is cold in winter though…
Jenny, I’m ashamed to admit this, but I haven’t had a single burger, let alone bbq this summer… I have idea idea why! I’m extremely jealous of your meat!
